A little about me...
As Director of Special Education the school mission statement, "Success for All," is very important to me. I have been involved in special education since January 1972 when I began working as a speech therapist in the Capital Area Intermediate Unit. In September 1972 I returned to Somerset and continued my career with Appalachia Intermediate Unit 8 first as a speech therapist, then as a teacher of the hearing impaired, and finally as a special education supervisor. In March 2003 I became the Director of Special Education for Somerset. With each passing day I continue to find this job to be the most challenging and rewarding experience of my career.
On a more personal note I am the proud mother of three adult children Erik, Melissa, and Alec. I also have two very special granddaughters.
