Please feel free to contact me @ pmorea@sasd.us Chief Master Sergeant Paul Moreau is currently an AFJROTC instructor here in the Somerset Jr/Sr High School. He was recently retired from active duty after 30 years of distinguished service. In his last position he served as the Command Chief Master Sergeant, Second Air Force, Keesler Air Force Base, Mississippi. In that capacity, Chief Moreau was the senior enlisted leader, responsible to the commander on matters concerning the welfare, effective utilization, professional development and readiness of enlisted members training in over 250 Air Force specialties through 2,500 courses graduating 225,000 Airmen, Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, and foreign students annually. Chief Moreau was born in Stoneham, Massachusetts. He entered the Air Force in 1979. He held a variety of leadership positions during his career serving as the Command Chief 17th Training Wing, Texas, a Senior Enlisted Leader to the National Security Agency/Central Security Service Representative and Chief, Special United States Liaison Advisor, Korea, an Air Force Specialty Manager on the Air Staff for two AFSCs, and an Operations Superintendent-Special Support Activity/National Security Agency. He has participated in many operations, contingencies, and exercises as well as Operation DENY FLIGHT, the USS Cole incident and ENDURING FREEDOM. His decorations include: The Legion of Merit, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal with two oak leaf clusters, the Meritorious Service Medal with three oak leaf clusters, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Air Force Commendation Medal with two oak leaf clusters, the Army Commendation Medal, the Joint Service Achievement Medal with oak leaf cluster, the Air Force Achievement Medal with oak leaf cluster and the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal.
The ROTC program has been steadily making progress as it stands up as a new program within the High School. This program will continue to add lessons and activities aimed at building better citizens, instilling personal responsibility, and a sense of accomplishment.
