Dr. Mark A. Gross has been the High School Principal of the Somerset Area Senior High School since the 2000-2001 school year.  He previously served as a secondary principal for the Berlin-Brothersvalley and Shade-Central City School Districts.  Previous to his role as a building administrator, he served as a Supervisor of Special Education for IU8 and taught special education in the York City School District and the Lancaster City School District.

 

Dr. Gross received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Special Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, his Master of Science Degree in School Administration from Western Maryland College, and his  in Doctoral Degree in Administration and Leadership Studies from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

 

Dr. Gross is married to Kelly and has two children , Alex and Alison.
