    A little about me...
    I am a 1998 graduate of Somerset Area High School. After high school, I attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Education of Exceptional Children K-12. I started my teaching career as a Learning Suport teacher at North Star High School. In 2004, I began teaching at Friedens Elementary School as an Elementary Life Skills Support teacher. I have continued to teach in this capacity for 16 years! In 2012 I earned a Certificte from Pittsburgh University for Director of Special Education and in 2015 I earned a Master's Degree from Pittsburgh University in Special Education. 

    Working with special needs children has always been my dream! Since the school closure of Friedens Elementary I made a transition to Maple Ridge Elementary School. I feel very fortunate to be working for such a wonderful school district!
     
    On a personal note, I have a wonderful husband who is a registered nurse and three children, Mesa, Canyon and Juniper.
