          Hello.  My name is Mrs. Kristy Kreger and I have been teaching for twenty one years.  I received a BS degree in Elementary and/or Special Education from California University of PA.  Upon graduation I started teaching for Appalachia Intermediate Unit 08.  When I was hired I began teaching in an Emotional Support classroom in the Somerset Area School District.  I taught in the Emotional Support classroom for three and a half years before moving into the Life Skills Classroom for K-3 at Maple Ridge for eight years.  The district adopted the IU8 teachers/classrooms in 2005 and then I officially became a Somerset employee. Then I taught Kindergarten for six years.  Currently I am enjoying the opportunity to use both parts of my degree while teaching Reading Intervention.
