Hi Everyone!
My name is Alix Rose and this is my second year teaching in the Somerset Area School District. Last year I taught second grade at Friedens. I am very excited to be at Maple Ridge and teaching first grade. I love teaching and am looking forward to working with you and your special first graders! In May 2010 I graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelors Degree in Kindergarten and Elementary Education. I student taught in a first grade classroom within the State College Area School District. Aside from teaching, I am the assistant volleyball coach for the Somerset Lady Eagles. I was a 2006 graduate of Somerset Area High School and went to Elementary School at Maple Ridge! In my free time I like to spend time with my family and friends. I also like to shop, exercise and spend time outdoors. I am a huge Penn State football fan.. WE ARE! I am looking forward to a fun and exciting school year!
