Welcome to Film as LiteratureAs the name implies, students enrolled in this course will be using film as the text for discussion. Far too often students rely on generalizations and hollow evaluations when asked about a film, often citing either it was good or bad. The biggest problem with that dull binary is that there is no room for discussion! What made it good? What made it bad? Was it a lack of plot or were the cinematic techniques insufficient in developing characters, moving plot, or establishing a connection with the audience? Now there's something to discuss!
