Philadelphia Virtual Field Trip
Since we are unable to take our field trip to Philadelphia this year, I have created a virtual field trip to provide you with some of the experiences we would have done in Philadelphia. Please take advantage of the various virtual tours and other digital resources provided by each of the historic sites during their extended closures due to the coronavirus social-distancing measures.
Museum of the American Revolution
Art and Artifacts - be sure to check out George Washington's Headquarters Tent
Eastern State Penitentiary
Eastern State Website - check out other resources/exhibits
Elfreth's Alley - The oldest continuously inhabited street in America
Christ Church Burial Ground - Benjamin Franklin's gravesite
Franklin Court - site of Franklin "ghost house", printing shop, and Post Office
- This site features a "ghost house" metal framework over the original site of Benjamin Franklin's house. There is also a printing office, museum and the Free Franklin Post Office (a colonial style post office still in operation).
Rocky Statue - located near the Philadelphia Museum of Art
Finish up with a Cheesesteak - Since we won't be able to actually get one, enjoy this video from Pat's!
