A small community in a classroom setting.
    A little about me...
I am a 1998 graduate of Somerset Area High School. After high school, I attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) and graduated with a degree in Teaching/Education of Exceptional Children. I worked for a short time with at-risk children at Outdoor Odyssey in which I organized a mentoring program with high school and elementary students in twelve school districts in a three county area. I began my teaching career as a High School Learning Support teacher at North Star School District. I spent one year in this realm before beginning my work as a Life Skills Teacher for Somerset School District.

Working with special needs children has always my dream! I have a wonderful little classroom at Maple Ridge Elementary School. I feel very fortunate to be working for such a wonderful school district! On a personal note, I have a wonderful husband who is an R.N. and a beautiful little daughter Mesa. I think it is very important to communicate with parents, keeping an open communication is key! If you have a question, concern or would like to visit the classroom please don't hesitate to call or email me.
