• Lunch/Breakfast Program Update:

    • Meals will continue to be offered up to and including May 28, 2020. Meals will not be served after that date.
    • To allow cafeteria staff time to begin closing the kitchens, on Thursday, May 21, 2020, students will receive two days’ worth of meals.
    • No meals will be served on Friday, May 22, or Monday, May 25, 2020.

    EOA Equipment Return

    Students currently enrolled in the Eagle Online Academy should plan to return their books, laptop, printer, powercords, and case to the Administrative Office according to the schedule below:

    EOA grades 9 through 12: Tuesday, May 26 from 9 am to 11 am
    EOA grades 6 through 8: Wednesday, May 27 from 9 am to 11 am
    EOA grades K through 6: Thursday, May 28 from 9 am to 11 am

    FINANCIAL AID WEBINAR offered by PHEAA

    Representatives from the Pennsylvania Higher Education Agency (PHEAA) will be providing an overview of how to apply for all types of financial aid, including completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which is required to determine eligibility for most student aid programs such as the Pennsylvania State Grant, Federal Pell Grant, institutional offers, and federal student and parent loans. This will also be a great opportunity to have PHEAA representatives answer questions you may have.

    The monthly food distribution is scheduled to take place on April 23rd, from 5:00 - 6:00 PM, in the rear parking lot of the Somerset High School pool- 645 S. Columbia Ave. Somerset, PA 15501.


    OFFICE HOURS:

    Guidance will hold office hours via Zoom. You can contact a counselor by entering his or her Zoom ID at https://zoom.us/join, or by calling 1-646-558- 8656.

    Guidance Office Hours will be Monday-Friday:

    12:30 pm to 1:30 pm 

    Please note that when trying to contact a counselor via Zoom, you may be temporarily placed in a "waiting room" to protect other students' and families' confidentiality. Counselor's Zoom ID's can be found at "Contact Us."


    LUNCHES:

    Grab-and-go lunches are available Monday through Friday at four community locations! Please note the change in times:

    11:30 AM to 12:30 PM in the Junior/Senior High School circle (nearest the JH Entrance)

    11:00 to 11:30 AM at the former BiLo parking lot near 800 East Main St

    11:45 to 12:15 PM at the Friendens Lutheran Church

    12:30 to 12:45 PM at Village Way

    Meals are being provided at no cost to all children, ages 2-18, residing in the Somerset Area School District.


    GUIDANCE SERVICES:

    District counselors will continue to be available to assist students and families through the length of the closure. Contact information can be found here.

    The fastest, most direct, and preferred means of communication with counselors at this time is email. Students and families without internet access can leave a message via district voicemail, and counselors will return your call as soon as possible.
