    Welcome, students, parents, and guardians!

I am pleased to work with you during the 2019-2020 school year.  In the past 12 years at Somerset Area School District, I have instructed 7th, 8th, and 10th grade English students, as well as advised juniors and seniors in the S.H. yearbook program.

This is my thirteenth year in the district and seventh year as part of the junior high faculty, working with 7th graders in English.  During class, we focus on developing writing skills, improving vocabulary, reinforcing grammar, and studying reading techniques.

August 2019 starts a new educational journey for us all.  Let's make our English travels educationally beneficial, thoroughly memorable, and delightfully enjoyable.

"One's destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things."
                                                                                -Henry Miller

Let's begin our journey with an end "destination" of expanding our knowledge by "seeing things" in English, and other disciplines, from bright and inspiring perspectives.

Somerset Junior High Students... Have a wonderful and successful 2019-2020 school year!

                                                                                                                Mrs. Mical Barosky
