The step-up program was initiated by head varsity girls’ coach Jill Kegg and offers the opportunity for junior eagle basketball players to connect with the high school teams. One varsity game for each of the boys and girls is dedicated to hosting and encouraging the junior eagle players; junior eagle names are recognized, and varsity players host special events and write encouraging notes to the younger players. Both step-up nights saw record numbers this year, with more than 150 junior eagle players in attendance!
